Voluntary civil defence wildfire evacuation excersise
THIS IS A CIVIL DEFENCE EXERCISE. THIS IS NOT A REAL EVENT
Sunday 6 April 2025 2pm - 5pm
What you need to know:
- The thermal pools, spa, café, info centre and giftshop
will all be open as usual. - Participation in the exercise is completely optional.
- You may hear sirens and public announcements as part
of the exercise. - The evacuation point is the paddock south of Amuri
Helicopters, 561 Hanmer Springs Road SH7A. - Volunteers will be patrolling to assist people to
evacuate and ensure properties are safe during the
exercise
