With two large grassy picnic areas, dozens of sun loungers and shady tables, alongside large changing rooms and a locker area this is a great place for families to base themselves as they explore the complex.

The large activity pool is a blast with resort style beach access. The kids will love swimming into the cave behind the waterfall and drag Mum and Dad along too. The tuatara (a native New Zealand lizard) slide is a popular place and the tension around the dumping bucket is high as everyone tries to avoid the cascades of water it throws below sporadically. The water is warm and you'll find plenty of adults relaxing in the shallows as they keep a close eye on the kids.

Our hydroslides are loved by kids of all ages and you'll hear them all laughing and shrieking as they race down the chutes. The cream hydroslide is the best for beginners - it's slower, light and a fun ride. The more daring will move onto our green slide - pitch black inside with lit arrows gliding the way. You'll zoom down with your heart racing. Note that you have to be 1.2m tall to get a slide pass.

Next to the hydroslides you'll find our famous SuperBowl aquatic thrill ride - the only one in New Zealand and an excellent experience whether you're riding alone or with a buddy.

Behind the SuperBowl is the AquaPlay area, perfect for younger kids.
